Our philosophy
After many years of experience and creativity, IONIA focuses on the
improvement of products and services, as well as on the cost of the products,
providing always a high quality/price ratio. Therefore, IONIA contributes
essentially to the customers’ efforts for the smooth operation of their
business.
Our long history
It was in 1972 when the one and only manufacturer of tableware porcelain
was created, under the name IONIA. The factory was built in Evia, while the
company has been situated in Athens. IONIA is divided into two sections,
namely the Hotel & Restaurant and the Domestic division, each one
operating under different sales organizing and marketing. Products of both
sections can be found in IONIA’s five brand shops. At the same time IONIA’s
Hotel & Restaurant products are exported in a number of countries in Europe
and the Middle East.
Our people
The common vision and the main goal of our people are always to achieve
perfection and offer the very best. Our management consists of people who
are aware of the professional market and, thus, are able to cover its needs
the best way possible.
IONIA’s factory occupies skilled and well-trained professionals, all possessing
a profound knowledge of porcelain’s valuable secrets. Moreover, our company
keeps up with the latest developments and techniques and provides its people
with continuous training.
Our birthplace
Situated in Evia, the factory of IONIA is equipped with the latest technology
and machinery, guaranteeing an output of excellent quality and durability,
with a production capacity of approximately 7,5 million pieces of porcelain per
year. Our skilled and experienced staff includes Production, Decoration and
Quality Control experts.
Our exceptional creations
Simple, functional forms, along with unique designs added by prominent
designers and ceramists, make our products what we call “exceptional
creations”. While an in-house creative department is in charge of the
decorations, for the white products, IONIA collaborates with prominent
designers and ceramists, such as David Queensberry, Hans Wilhelm
Seitz and Nicolas Nicolaou, each one willing to add his personal touch and
signature to our products. Our in-house modelling department further
guarantees an impeccable product.
